Every week Mrs May took some of the children to the swimming pool.

The children were good swimmers and they liked going with Mrs May.

They were taking a swinming test.

Biff, Chip, Wilma and Nadim jumped into the pool.

They had to swim up and down the pool.

They had to swim ten lengths.

Wilma was first to swim ten lengths and Biff and Nadim were next.

It was hard for Chip to swim ten lengths.

But at last, they all passed the swimming test.

Mum and Dad had a surprise for the children.

Its a fish tank.

Everyone like the fish tank.

The next day they went to a shop that sold fish.

Then Dad put some more fish in the tank.

He put rocks on the bottom.

Next to the rocks he put a ship and a little box.

Wilma and Nadim came to see the fish tank.

Then they went to play in Biffs room.

Chip ran in with the magic key.

The key was glowing.

Its time for an adventure.

Where would the magic take them?

What would happen next?

The magic took them underwater.

The children had masks and flippers and tanks of air.

mask 面罩，就是孩子們帶著的氧氣面罩

flipper 腳蹼，潛水、游泳用的腳蹼

tank of air 氧氣瓶

魔法把他們帶到水下。

孩子們臉上戴著潛水面罩，腳上穿著腳璞，背上背著氧氣瓶。

因為一來到魔法的世界就已經(jīng)穿戴上了裝備，

所以呢，孩子們可以在水下游泳。

They could swim underwater.

The children had never seen so many fish.

never 從不，從來沒有

孩子們從沒見過這么多魚。

They were all different colours.

都是五顏六色的魚。

"This is better than the pool,"thought Chip.

better than 比...好

“比在游泳池里游泳好多了，” Chip 想。

"I feel like a fish,"thought Wilma.

feel 感覺 like 像，“我感覺像一條魚” Wilma 想。

thought 是 “想”

為什么這里用的都是 thought 而不是 said？

哈哈，因為他們在水里，沒法說出來。

Did they like the adventure?

Yes, they did.

The children loved swimming under the water.

It was lovely to see all the fish and to swim with them.

孩子喜歡在水下游來游去。

看到各種各樣的魚，與它們一起游來游去，真是太好了。

Look, what did Chip and Nadim do?

Chip and Nadim swam to the bottom and picked up a big shell.

What did Biff look at?

Biff looked at a jelly fish but she didnt swim too close.

Chip 與 Nadim 游到海底抬起一個大貝殼。

Biff 看到一只水母，但不敢靠它太近。

Why did Wilma swim backwards from Biff?

They saw a ship under the water.

It was an old ship that had been under the Water for a long time.

他們看到水下有艘船，

They swam up to the ship.

Wilma didnt want to swim too close to it.

It looked dangerous.

Then what could they do？

They had an idea.

They blew bubbles at the octopus,

blew bubbles 吹泡泡

The octopus didnt like the bubbles so it swam away.

"Good!"thought the children."Now we can look inside."

他們朝章魚吹泡泡。

章魚不喜歡泡泡，就游走了。

”太好了!” 孩子們想，“現(xiàn)在我們可以看看里面是什么東西了?！?

The children opened up the chest and looked inside,

孩子們打開箱子，朝箱子里望去。

Whats inside the chest?

It was a treasure chest and it was full of gold.

是寶藏箱！里面裝滿了金銀財寶。

Who left the treasures here?

I have no idea.

Biff and Wilma pushed the chest over and all the gold fell out.

push over 推倒

Biff 與 Wilma 推倒箱子，所有的金銀財寶都滾了出來。

Nadim picked up a necklace and Biff picked up a gold cup.

Nadim 撿起一條項鏈，Biff 撿起一個金杯。

Theyre going to be rich.

Biff and Nadim were busy looking at the treasure.

They didnt see what Chip and Wilma saw.

A shark！

A shark was coming.

They pulled them away and pointed at the shark.

Chip 和 Wilma 無法告訴 Biff 和 Nadim 鯊魚來了。

Oh no！The children were in danger.

The children were frightened.

They swam and swam but the shark swam after them.

Then the magic key began to glow.

Just in time！

The magic key took them out of the adventure.

"The treasure chest was like the one in our fish tank."

They came to see the fish tank.

They were surprised.

“Look,theres the treasure,"said Chip.

"How did it get there?"asked Nadim.

"Its magic!"said Biff.

“怎么會在那里呢?"Nadim 問。

“是魔法!” Biff 說。

Every week Mrs May took some of the children to the swimming pool.

Biff, Chip, Wilma, and Nadim jumped into the pool.

The water was warm.

"Off you go.”called Mrs May.

They had to swim up and down the pool.

They had to swim ten lengths.

Wilma was first to swim ten lengths and Biff and Nadim were next.

It was hard for Chip to swim the ten lengths,

"Come on,Chip,"called Mrs May,

Next they had to swim to the bottom of the pool.

They had to pick up a brick and swim with it to the top.

All the children passed the swimming test. Mrs May Wasvery pleased.

"Well done,everyone," she said.

The children were pleased too.

所有的孩子都通過了測式。

Biff and Chip told Mum and Dad about the swinming test.

"We passed," they said.

Mum and Dad were very pleased too.

Mum and Dad had a surprise for them.

Dad took them to a shop that sold fish.

"What a lovely shop!"said Biff. "Look at all the fish."

There were big fish and little fish.

Kipper liked the big fish in a tank.

Dad put some more fish in the tank.

He put rocks on the bottom.

Wilma and Nadim came to see the fish tank.

"It looks lovely."said Wilma."I wish I could swim in there."

They went to play in Biffs room.

Chip ran in with the magic key.

The key was glowing.

"Its time for an adventure,"said Biff.

The magic began to work.

It took the children into a new adyenture.

This time it was a diferent sort of adventure.
