中秋由來

每年農(nóng)歷八月十五日，是傳統(tǒng)的中秋佳節(jié)。這時(shí)是一年秋季的中期，所以被稱為中秋。

The Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, usually in October in Gregorian calendar.

中秋節(jié)的起源可以追溯到中國(guó)古代，人們?cè)谙蛟铝帘磉_(dá)敬意，也寓意對(duì)豐收的祈禱。

The Mid-Autumn Festival, dating back to ancient China, pays homage to the moon and good harvest.

中秋節(jié)有悠久的歷史，和其它傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日一樣，也是慢慢發(fā)展形成的，古代帝王有春天祭日，秋天祭月的禮制，早在《周禮》一書中，已有“中秋”一詞的記載。

The festival has a long history. In ancient China, emperors followed the rite of offering sacrifices to the sun in spring and to the moon in autumn. Historical books of the Zhou Dynasty had had the word "Mid-Autumn".

唐代時(shí)賞月風(fēng)靡，詩(shī)人在賞月之時(shí)佳作連連。

In the Tang Dynasty (618–907 AD), it was popular to appreciate the moon. In the Ming and Qing dynasties, it grew to be a major festival of China.

北宋時(shí)期，農(nóng)歷八月十五才被正式確立為中秋節(jié)，從那以后，為月亮獻(xiàn)祭盛行，從那以后便成為風(fēng)俗。

In the Northern Song Dynasty (960–1127 AD), the 15th day of the 8th lunar month was established as the "Mid-Autumn Festival". From then on, sacrificing to the moon was very popular, and has become a custom ever since.

中秋傳說

關(guān)于這個(gè)節(jié)日的起源有很多傳說。最著名的就是嫦娥奔月的故事，她因?yàn)槌粤碎L(zhǎng)生不老藥，飛入天宮成為了月神。

There are also many tales around the origin of the festival. The most famous is about the Change flying to the moon. Its said that Change flew to the Moon Palace, and became the goddess of the moon, after she took the elixir of immortality.
